About me

My background is in the creative industries and I spent 20 years working as a musician in both a performing and producing capacity. This has left me with a particular interest in supporting artists, writers, and others working in creative or high-pressure environments — where personal expression, identity, and self-worth can often feel closely intertwined. I’m also passionate supporting men navigating the complexities of modern masculinity, where expectations and challenges often coexist. This includes working with new fathers adjusting to the demands of parenthood, and exploring the experiences of loneliness and isolation that many face.

How it works

I offer a free initial 10-minute phone consultation to help you decide if we’re a good fit. It’s also an opportunity for you to share what’s on your mind and ask any questions you may have. Sessions are 50 minutes long and are held on a weekly basis at the same time each week. I am also able to offer reduced rates—feel free to reach out for more information.

How I work

I work in a way that blends person-centred, psychodynamic and existential understandings of psychotherapy. Together, we might look at how past experiences and relationships shape your present, the challenge of coping in a fast-moving and often overwhelming world, or the deeper questions that can arise — around meaning, belonging, or fear of the future. In therapy, there can be room to challenge hardship, patterns, and pressures, and to tackle the shame that so often comes with trying to be everything we’ve been taught to expect of ourselves.
